Privacy Policy
Effective August 1, 2026
Data we collect
Tomoduo may process your public Steam profile, public game library, public friend list, selected matchmaking games, coarse region, and connection metadata needed for signaling and voice relay. Steam information is accessed only after you sign in with Steam in the Windows App. The website stores only a presentation language preference and has no login session or companion-memory feature.
How we use data
We use this information to match players by their selected games, show limited profile and shared-game information to the matched partner, establish voice calls, generate Iris's AI replies, and prevent abuse.
Voice and AI processing
Human voice calls use encrypted WebRTC connections. We do not record, store, or listen to those calls. When you use Iris's AI voice chat in the Windows App, the audio for that turn and a relevant short memory summary are processed transiently by our AI service provider to generate a reply. We do not keep recordings or full transcripts on our servers.
Windows App memory
The Windows App may save a small set of long-term preferences locally for the current Windows user, such as a preferred name, game interests, usual play time, and conversation style. The complete local memory file is not uploaded as a cloud database.
Data sharing and retention
We do not sell personal data or use third-party advertising or tracking services. Your complete local memory file is never uploaded. Matching and active-session state is short-lived. Limited account, safety, and usage records may be retained as needed to operate the service and prevent abuse.
Steam data
We access Steam data through the public Steam Web API. We only read publicly available information. We never see your Steam password, purchase history, or payment details.
Children's privacy
The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security and changes
Traffic between the App and our servers uses TLS, and human voice media uses DTLS-SRTP. Windows App memory is protected for the current Windows user. We may update this policy and will note the new effective date above.
